What is Vietnam known for? This is a question with complex answers. Few nations have changed quite as dramatically in the last half-century as this one.
After 1975, the war-torn country lay in ruins. Today, however, Vietnam is one of the cultural and economic powerhouses of Southeast Asia, with booming art and food scenes. There’s a real sense of innovation and energy here, as well as a respect for the past.
Travelers today can expect to find a beguiling blend of sandy beaches and verdant jungles, glittering skyscrapers and ancient temples, street food and fine dining. This is a country of staggering cultural and geographic diversity, with much to explore.

DISCOVER THE BEAUTY OF VIETNAMESE CULINARY CULTURE AND ITS DIVERSITY
Vietnamese cuisine is so famous that many well-known chefs in the world e.g. Gordon Ramsay, Anthony Bourdain and Jamie Oliver have fallen in love with the cuisine and have cookedits famous dishes. Some of them have visited Vietnam to learn about the origin of the increasingly famous cuisine. As mentioned above, the Vietnamese culinary culture is a highly diverse one. It is mainly divided into 3 regional styles i.e. Northern, Central and Southern styles. About the Northern Cuisine, dishes from this part of the country are mostly colorful and marked with a neutral taste. In other words, most Northern Vietnamese foods feature light and balanced flavors that results from subtle combinations of many different flavoring ingredients. On the other hand, people from the Central Vietnam appear to be more discern diners than those from the North and the South. They prefer their dishes to have a more distinct taste to it, stronger flavors, spicier and have distinguishing red and dark brown color characteristics. Last but not least, embodying Chinese, Cambodian and Thai influences, most of the Southern Vietnamese dishes tend to be spicy and sweeter. Vietnam Gateway is proud to be a significantly ultimate portal for food lovers to explore the beauty of Vietnamese culinary culture.
